So right after I recorded the last post I got on the computer to use some new skills I just learned in Cakewalk. As you could see I was recording the same verse over and over and I wasn't having to touch the mouse, it automatically looped over a section I selected.. so instead of creating a new layer each time I makes it quicker and easier and then when your "auditioning" them you can easily select the take you want for each line or word out of all the takes to make one Frankenstein take. And it makes it easy.. so when your auditioning a section you hit shift plus the space bar to get it to loop a predefined section and then you can jump for take to take until you find the one you like... anyways so I hit shift plus space bar and the program froze.. I sometimes keep the computer going for days without restarting.. and I had just recorded a bunch of takes of the first verse and the chorus. So it wouldn't even close after the screen turned kinda white when the program really fucks up and I clicked to close it and it wouldn't so I tried to restart the computer after I walked to dollar general w rally to give it some time to close.. the computer couldn't even shut down it got stuck in that process I had to hold the power button down after 20 minutes or so.. after that came the problem.. so I have an external hard drive just for my music. On the drive there are several folder one is called songs which has my 70 songs in and all the records at various stages and is my road map basically... well some how in the program freezing it tucked up that whole folder so I could not get into any of my music.. so I did a little research and tried to do a check disk and somehow that caused the whole drive to now be inaccessible to me, so just all my songs even my song seeds and other stuff related to music... I had been staying calm but now I'm having full on panic attack and depression so I just go to sleep and talk to the creator coz I know this is the evil one he alway shows up when big stuff is happening... a couple hours later I woke up the computer was still stuck trying to restart so I powered of the external drive with my music and it almost immediately shut down.. but

Starting to put some vocals down in my sound booth/ guitar amp isolation booth. I found that I do not like having my voice played back in the headphone while singing, even if I get the latency down to nothin, it just really fucks with me. I really like to only hear the music in my left ear and have my right ear free so using the studio headphone is kinda dumb so I just wired single earbud in my left ear.

This is going to be the opening song on my first album.. this isn't a finished version just the first time I've exported any of it.. It's called "On the Wind" it's about my frustration with idiots that made it impossible for me to sell my art at Dollar General anymore.... they are just "mother fuckers on the wind" and one day will be faint memory and a chuckle.

I'm in love with riding a bike. I love old road bikes. I don't even own a motor vehicle, I get everywhere on a bicycle rain snow or shine. Nothing is better than being on two wheels with my kids!

Origins of Givix

My Father was 100% Native American, Lakota Sioux, born on an Indian reservation in Montana. He was born Parker Lynn Gives. Gives was at some point in time shortened from Givesblanket. When Parker was two he was taken from the Indian Reservation and given to a family in Independence Missouri and had his native name stripped away and replaced with Lowry.

I made the name GIVIX by taking the "GIV" from Givesblanket and the "I" and the "X" from Sioux. This was an attempt to create a word with my roots that would stretch into the future with promise, hope, and the strength to always move forward through any adversity!
