This project is inspired by Emery! Unfortunately I never got to meet her. In 2018 I was the face painter at her birthday party, there was Disney princesses, games music even a pony.... all except little Emery Smith. She lost her battle with Neuroblastoma in 2017 She was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma at only two years old. As a father of six this hit so close to home, my youngest looked a lot like her and was the same age. I saw a lot pictures of her and saw haunting similarities in the two girls. We had recently had to shave her head because of a gum incident and to top it all off one picture of Emery with her little shaved head was wearing a Disney princess dress, the same one my daughter had. Every since I meet Emery's family and got to paint all her little friends faces, I have had a new appreciation for life and tell my kids I love them and hug them so much more often and every moment seems so much more precious.
If you or some one you know has lost a child before they got to their 18th birthday I gladly offer a free custom portrait. All you have to do is become a member on this site, fill out the form below. I plan to start a new one when the current one is finished, the first one being of Emery. If I get more than one submission at a time I will do a drawing on Instagram Live to determine who is next.
Here's how it works:
I love to draw people and I've spent years drawing for free. Now that I'm setting up everything to be able to make money doing custom portraits I want to be able to Givix Back, and as a father this seems to me to be the best way that I can do that.
Steps to
1) Painting is for the parents or guardians of the minor child.
2) The person signing up can be a friend or relative of the parent or guardian to have it made as a supprise.
3) Sign up with the form on this page.
4) Become a member on Studio Givix website.
If you are signing up and you are not the parent make sure the address is where the final artwork is to be shipped. The name email and phone should all be you filling out this form so I can contact you as the project is being completed.
If there is a blog or memorial website for the child please put a link in the sign up form.
